Oklahoma's fourth congressional district encompasses sixteen counties in Oklahoma, and takes up much of the southern portion of the state. Beginning as the "unassigned lands" in 1889, the modern-day 4th district is now home to Tinker Air Force Base, Ft. Sill, Medicine Park, over a million decedents of the original Boomers and Sooners, numerous Native American Nations and the University of Oklahoma; RJ's alma mater.

While RJ had the ability to choose several Law Schools to attend he decided on the University of Oklahoma. His deep love of Oklahoma and the Norman area made it an easy decision. Originally from Bluejacket, Oklahoma, RJ has a deep admiration and understanding of the rural and suburban parts of Oklahoma. Oklahoma has an enduring respect for its' Native American roots. RJ, being a Native American himself, understands the deep culture that has impacted this beautiful section of America and is personally touched by the deep Native American culture found in this Oklahoma District.

Fundamentally, Oklahoma's 4th district has a special place in the heart of RJ Harris, and is indeed one of the reasons he feels compelled to represent its' people and defend their labor, property, and freedom.
